This Week's Sales, Coupon Stacking, Free and More



This week the new coupon insert came. Inside is a free Good and Natural Bar again!
We tried them last time, they are ok, not super as far as we were concerned.

 I was brave again!(It's never a pleasant experience as they seem to have taught their staff to treat couponers with disdain.)
I stopped in at London Drugs today. They have Palmolive on 3/$5 or $1.79 each all week. There were coupons from an insert for $1 off and because they have 2 different bar codes, you can stack them at London Drugs. I had to pay the tax, which was .60 for these 3. .20/bottle isn't bad!



I picked up some Safeway deals today.
Apple Juice is .50/1L carton with a limit of 12, today only.
Cheese is $6.99(we had lots of fun playing the cheese game, I found a 0.83kg and a 0.791kg. Making this cheese $8.42 and $8.84/kg!!! There is a limit of 2 and it's today only. Deli ham is .79/100g, today only.
Green grapes are $3.99 for 3lbs today only.
Don't forget to get your scratch cards. The milk shown was free, I won it! The ice tea was free and has another free coupon inside.

This is the lasagna that is part of the email direct 50% off deals this week.  The coupon code is 54123. It ends up being $4.99 for the 1.14kg. We are going to try it tonight and if it's good, I think I'll stock up!
 

At Walmart this week 3lbs of onions are $1. Same size and price for the carrots. Cherry tomatoes are $1.50. The bag of assorted buns were in the clearance for $2. The Taco Kit I used my coupon from my free taco kit and I priced matched Save Ons price of $3.33. The ground beef was $4 so free with the purchase of the soft taco kit.

Deals around Town

I thought I'd share some of the deals I found today. I stopped in at Shoppers to buy one Gillette  product as there is a coupon for 3000 points. You can find it here .You don't see my Gillette product pictured as I left it at the store(it's been one of those days) they are holding it for me. So, for a $3.49 purchase, I got 3000 points. 3000 points on a Mega redemption day are worth $7.89! The Orchard Park Mall Shoppers seems to always have great clearance in the food section. I needed whip cream for tomorrow and these small ones had $2 off coupons each. The regular price is $3.49, so with $2 off it's was $1.49. 1L at Costco $3.15, so this was a bit more savings. The Activia yogurt(8X100g) was $4.99 with a $2 off store coupon and I had a $1 off coupon, making it $1.99.

These yummy Europe's Best veggies are on for $2.99(at Shoppers), and there are these recent coupons for $2 off make these .99! By the way, rumour has it there is a 20X the points event this Saturday.

I used the coupon from the Entertainment book I got for $5 . It lets you buy 3 breads at McGavins discount bakery from the  discount  section, they are $1.49, each and get 3 free! All this bread was $4.47!!! There are 2 other coupons for McGavins bakery good for 2 free discount breads. So, so far my $5 book has saved me $2.98, $2.98, $4.47 in free bread, so $10.43!

I was brave and did some coupon stacking at Save On Foods. The Orchard Plaza Save On Foods  does coupon stacking, but not price matching. They are similar to Safeway in that if something is 2/$7 you can just buy one for $3.50. So, I had a $1.50 and a $1 off coupon(they had different bar codes) and I got this Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, which was $3.50. I  took it to the till and I must admit I was a bit nervous...the teller acted like it happens all the time and gave me my dressing for $1!

Costco has the frozen fruit salad 2.25kg for $6.99.

Dark Chocolate Acai & Blueberry are also on sale at Costco for $7.19 for 850g.  This is just dangerous for me! These are sooooo good! So, now I must justify why I needed to buy them. Well, it was a great deal does that count???? Let me justify further by showing you what a great deal it was! At Costco's price, $7.19 for 850g, they are $8.46/Kg.
The picture below is at Shoppers where they are $3.99 for 200g making them $19.95/Kg!!!! So, I am feeling quite justified in my purchase(beside the fact my husband says he NEEDS these)!

These are the same Acai Blueberries, "on sale",  at Shoppers for $3.99. The bag is 200g.

Well, looks like some inexpensive tp if you got the celebration coupon! $3.99-$2.00=$1.99  for
the Royale Ultra.

The Royale facial tissue is 2 for $1.59 with the celebrations coupon it's .80 for 2.
Stamps are also on sale 5% off.

I don't know why this came in sideways! Anyways,
Zellers gives 10% off Feb 17-20 when you use\
their HBC Credit card.

Again why sideways!!! Wonder
bread is  $1.99 and there are
these recent coupons for .75 off.
Making this bread $1.24.(plus 10% off $1.12)

Not sideways...nice! Ragu sauce is $1.33(less 10% is
$1.20)

London Drugs has the Kotex U on again.
You can stack with those same 2 coupons
that are about to expire this week. Again,
they would be .99 a package plus you get a
free Kleenex auto pack 24s(value up to $1.99).
Not sure if I will brave this one. Suffice it to say
my first attempt at coupon stacking was not
seamless! I did do it and I got my chocolate, but
not all in one trip and not without a few phone calls
and some angst! Not sure if I want to do it again!

is .58/lb( Old Town has it for .49/lb)
Tomatoes are .88/lb.(Quality Greens has Romas
for .79/lb)

They often do coupons in the weekly paper and they can be good deals. I
especially like when they do $1 off milk!

Scenery and Stories......

Okay, so let me tell you a secret. I was at London Drugs and everything......
but still I didn't do the coupon stack that I showed you in the
last post. Why not???? I'm a big chicken!(I told myself that I don't love
that brand...which is partially true, but I am also a chicken!)
I don't love the part where I have to explain to a manager how
their coupon policy works!
It is similar when Shoppers have their 20X the points and
the cashier insists I won't get the points when my coupons lower
the total below the minimum!(I actually have a receipt I carry around that
says EXAMPLE on the top, showing that I did get the points!)
So, tomorrow I am going to try and be brave!
London Drugs has the Kotex on for $2.99 and you get a free Lindt chocolate bar.(maybe the chocolate is making me braver??)
As you can see there are 2 coupons for Kotex. A $1 off one that
they mailed to me with a sample, and a $2 wub2 coupon from
Smart source(I think). So, if I take those and stack them it means
each pack will cost $1.49 plus. If I buy 4 I will end up with 4 Lindt bars(which I will promptly eat) which I will keep for my family! :)

I am watching all my grocery household spending in a different
way this year. It all started in Dec with the Mega redemption and
taking pictures of all I got.
I started thinking....being such a visual person, what if I took photos of everything that came into my house in a month!
It's a whole different story than just keeping the receipts!
So, I did that for Jan. I posted some of my shops for you
to see, but I took pictures of all of  it!!!
It is eye opening! It's Feb 9th and I have spent right around
$150. I bet I will be able to come under budget with this method!

I plan to take it with me just to be safe!

At Walmart French's mustard is $1 for the 225ml. There was a .75 coupon in
Smart Source. So a cute mustard for .25. If you don't have that coupon,
you can go to French's site to print a .50 coupon.

Again at Walmart, the Catelli Pasta is $1.
There was a .75 coupon, so 375g of
Healthy Harvest Pasta is .25!

This week at Extra Foods they are having
Family Appreciation Days on
Monday and Tuesday.
Pineapples are $1.96!

20 lbs of potatoes are $4.96.

TP is $3.97 for 24 rolls, or 16.5 cents per roll! Limit 2.

NN Soup is $4.78 for 12. Limit 4 That works out to .40/can!

Bags of grapefruit are $2.86 for 5lb(57/lb!!!)

Springfield Bulk Foods has popping corn for .19/100g!
Discount days are Tuesday and Thursday.

Safeway is having 10% off day on Tuesday.
Boneless skinless chicken breasts are $2.99/lb.
With 10% off it makes them $2.69/lb.
The minimum to spend is $35 in order to
get 10% off.
I have a bunch of FPC(free product coupons)
as well as 50% off Purex TP from airmiles.
I plan to use my Chapman's $5 off coupon.

Oven Joy Bread is $1.29 a loaf.

Shoppers drug mart has Royale TP
24 roll for $5.99. This is a coupon from
go coupons. This makes this toilet paper
just under .21/roll. The 3 ply is the same
price for 12 rolls. Maybe you got the coupon
for $2 off the 3 ply? I can't see the exact size
to figure out it's cost, but less is more for our
house!(I find the thick tp causes toilet plugging
problems!)
